Terms and Conditions

Current as of 7 October 2026

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you, the dog trainer using Leashloop, and Anish Kamlakar Hirlekar, a sole proprietor trading as Leashloop, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India ("Leashloop", "we", "us").

By signing in to Leashloop, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. We record which version you accepted and when. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Leashloop is

Leashloop is a web application that helps professional dog trainers keep records of their clients and their clients' dogs, schedule training sessions, and keep their clients updated about those sessions on WhatsApp.

What Leashloop is not. We do not provide dog training advice, veterinary advice, or any opinion on the care of any animal. We do not run your business, and nothing in the service creates any relationship between us and your clients.

3. Messages we send to your clients

When you book, change or cancel a session for a client whose record has a phone number, we send that client a WhatsApp message. If a client has no phone number on their record, we send them nothing.

The message comes from our number, not yours. It is sent from the Leashloop business WhatsApp number and shows as being from Leashloop. Your name appears inside the message so the client knows which trainer it is about. The first message a client ever receives from us says that you use Leashloop, so they understand why an unfamiliar number is messaging them.

Your clients can reach you directly. Every message carries a "Message trainer" button that opens a chat with your own WhatsApp number. That means the WhatsApp number you give us is shown to your clients. If you do not want a particular number shared with clients, do not use it here.

Replies to our number go nowhere. If a client replies to the Leashloop number instead of using the button, they get an automatic reply pointing them to the button. We record their message, but nobody reads it and you will not see it. Please tell your clients to use the button.

We write the messages, not you. Every message follows a fixed wording approved in advance by Meta. You cannot change the words.

What we can and cannot promise. We send the message automatically, usually within a few minutes. Change and cancellation messages are held briefly so that several edits arrive as one message. We cannot promise a message is delivered, read, or acted on. WhatsApp may block, delay or fail to deliver a message for reasons outside our control. Treat our messages as a convenience, not as proof that your client knows. If something matters, tell them yourself.

You may not describe Leashloop as a reminder service to your clients, or tell them we will remind them at a particular time, because we do not control what their phone does with our message.

If a client replies STOP, we stop messaging their number and tell you. From then on, telling them about sessions is up to you.

Calendar invitations by email. For clients whose email address you added before October 2026, we also email a calendar invitation when you book, change or cancel a session. We are phasing this out.

4. The pilot

Leashloop is currently a free pilot. There is no charge and no payment facility.

This is early software provided as it is. Features may change, break, or be removed. Data may be affected by faults. We give no guarantee of availability, uptime, or freedom from error. Please keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

If we introduce paid plans we will tell you in advance and separate payment terms will apply. You will never be charged without agreeing first.

5. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and a professional dog trainer or a person operating a dog training business.

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through your Leashloop account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

6. Your clients' information, and your responsibility for it

This section matters more than any other in these terms.

When you add a client, you enter personal information about a real person who has not signed up with Leashloop, has never seen the product, and in most cases has never heard of us. That includes their name, their phone number if you add one, their email address if you added one, the area they live in, and information about their dog.

That person is your client. They gave that information to you. You decide what to record and why. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the Data Fiduciary for your clients' personal data and Leashloop acts as your Data Processor, storing and displaying it under your instructions, and sending the messages described in section 3.

By using Leashloop you confirm that:

a) you have the right to record your clients' personal information and to enter it into a service like ours;

b) you have told your clients, or will tell them, that you keep their details and their dog's details in a scheduling application;

c) you only add a client's phone number if you have their agreement to send them updates about their sessions on WhatsApp. You know your clients and we do not. We message the number you enter, and we rely entirely on your word that the person at that number is expecting to hear about their training sessions;

d) you have told that client, or will tell them, that these updates come from Leashloop rather than from your own number, so an unfamiliar sender is not a surprise;

e) you will pass on anything a client tells you about not wanting these messages. If a client asks you to stop, remove their number from their record or tell us;

f) you will only enter information you actually need for training and scheduling;

g) you will not enter information about a person under 18;

h) you will not enter health, financial or identity details about a person into fields intended for notes about a dog;

i) if a client asks you to correct or delete their information, you will act on it, and will tell us if you need our help.

If a client complains, or exercises a right, about information you entered, resolving it is your responsibility and we will assist you. We are responsible for keeping the information secure and handling it only as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not use Leashloop to store information unrelated to dog training, to send unsolicited messages, to add a phone number for anyone who has not agreed to hear from you, to attempt to reach another trainer's data, to reverse engineer or interfere with the service, or for anything unlawful.

8. Photographs

If you upload a photograph of a dog, you confirm you have permission to do so. Please do not upload photographs showing people, house numbers, documents, or anything else you would not want stored.

Please note: dog photographs are currently stored at web addresses that do not require signing in. Those addresses are long and are not published anywhere, but anyone who has one can open the image. We are improving this. Until then, please treat uploaded photographs as not private.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter. You give us permission to store it, display it back to you, and process it as needed to run the service, including sending the messages described in section 3 and showing your WhatsApp number to the clients those messages go to. We do not sell it, share it with other trainers, or use it for advertising or to train any artificial intelligence system.

We own the Leashloop software, name, design and branding.

10. Limitation of liability

Leashloop is provided free and as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for loss of business, profit or data, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes any consequence of a message or calendar invitation not arriving, arriving late, arriving more than once, reaching the wrong person because of a number entered incorrectly, or being blocked, delayed or filtered by WhatsApp, Meta, or an email provider.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Leashloop at any time and ask us to delete your account and its contents. We will do so within 30 days of your request.

We may end or suspend the service, or your access to it, with reasonable notice, except where a breach of these terms requires us to act immediately.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

13. Grievances

If you have a complaint about how we handle personal data, please contact:

Grievance Officer: Anish Kamlakar Hirlekar
Email: anish@leashloop.app

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

We acknowledge within 48 hours and respond within 30 days.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
